Catherine of Aragon is one of my heros so I was thrilled when I saw The Spanish Princess listed on tv. HOWEVER, Prince Arthur was only 16 years old when he died 6 months after marrying Catherine. Lazy writing 8 episodes really average for a hit show 20 to 24 no one want to watch a show for a few weeks then wait a year lazy and cheap. It's insulting. Give me strength! This woman survived Henry VIII wife killing tendency. The only reason I gave 3 instead of 1 was the costume design. I am only a few episodes in, but the story has not been as interesting as the past Philippa Gregory shows. The series is based on the novels The Constant Princess and The King's Curse by Philippa Gregory and centers on Catherine of Aragon (Hope), the first wife of England's King Henry VIII (O'Connor). She was beautiful inside and out and she was about as strong as they come. And then there's the contrived gratuitous nude scenes of female characters.
